狄兰·托马斯，人称“疯狂的狄兰”，英国作家、诗人，代表作《死亡与出场》、《当我天生的五官都能看见》等。托马斯很早就表现出对于文学的特殊兴趣，中学的时候曾担任学校刊物的主编，并发表了一些诗作。1946年发表人生中最重要的一部诗集《死亡和出场》，评论界普遍认为他是继奥登以后英国的又一位重要诗人。1953年11月9日因连喝了18杯威士忌而暴毙，年仅三十九岁。

暮年也应在黄昏中燃烧
反抗吧，在这将逝的时光里反抗吧
智者临终前深知黑夜到来
他们的智言将不能再照亮岔路

善良的人啊，当最后一波浪潮呼啸而过，尽情哭喊吧。
微小的行动也能在青春里舞出辉煌

追逐太阳并放声歌唱的勇士们
幡然醒悟，但为时已晚，他们沉浸在悲痛中已无法自拔。

行将就木的人带着迷茫的眼神
