Hannah mountain is one of the three famous mountains in South Korea. At an altitude of 1950 meters, it is the highest mountain in South Korea and can be seen anywhere in Jeju Island. It is a mysterious mountain with different viewing angles and seasonal changes.
Hanna mountain means "a mountain that can take down the Milky Way". On the top of the mountain, there is a 500 meter diameter volcanic lake Bailu lake formed by volcanic eruption about 25000 years ago. There are more than 360 small volcanoes of different sizes formed by volcanic eruption around it.


There are four mountain climbing routes in Hanna: the east route- ChengBanYue, the north route- GuanYinsi, the northwest route-Yulimu, and the south route-Lingshi.
There are different views in different seasons and the scenery of these four lines has its own merits.
We choose to go up from Lingshi line and down from Yuli line.
It's said that the Lingshi line is one of the most difficult lines to walk, but since we have climbed the Hua Mount, of course, it's a piece of cake for us.

There is a legend of Yeongsil rocks.
The legend has it that a mother died after drowning into the boiling pot of soup that she was making for her 500 sons, who ate the soup because they weren't aware that their mother had fallen inside. When the youngest son learned this after returning home, he said he couldn't live with his older brothers and went to Chagwi Island, where he transformed into a rock. The rest of his brothers went to Mt Halla, where they all turned-into rocks as well. This is the reason the Yeongsil rocks are referred to as the 500 generals or 500nahan.

It's a little pity that we didn't see bailu lake due to the time and line.
